    Glazing

Selecting the right glass for your windows or doors is just as important as selecting the right frame and style. We offer various types of glazing, in all shapes and sizes to meet your requirements. Anything from single glazed units, double glazed units, toughened glass to acoustically treated glass.

Ensuring you select the correct glass for your products is important to us, to comply with Building Regulations which requires all windows to achieve a minimum Window Energy Rating (WER) of C.

The benefits of selecting the right glass for your windows and doors are extensive. However, some of the benefits of having the right glazing are:

Better Insulation – Ensuring that the cold is kept out and the heat within your home is kept in, especially within the winter months. This also reverses in the summer as glazing can keep extreme heat out rather than protruding your household. In addition to this with improved thermal properties of your glazing it can result in less expenditure on energy bills due to less demand of heat within the household.

Noise Reduction – Whether you live in a rural or built-up location you’ll always be surrounded by noise. Double glazing reduces external noises being heard internally from next doors dog barking to cars driving past.

Increased Security – We all know glass is delicate and unfortunately in some instances breaks leaving properties unsecure and people feeling vulnerable. Selecting double glazing ensures you have that added layer of security, and extra pane of protection as opposed to single glazing. This prevents intruders making it harder to access properties and gives confidence your home is more secure.

Condensation – Condensation is common in properties due to air being trapped in your household, causing water droplets and moisture on your glazing to condense. By having double glazing the inside pane of glazing will be closer to the air temperature of the house resulting in condensation generally being avoided. Condensation can lead to not only issues within your home and its structure but most importantly your health.
